Marina
Park and Aquarium is a prime attraction in Port Blair. It is located in the seashore close to Water
Sports Complex. The local citizen and the visiting tourists use this park for
spending their valuable evenings by enjoying the nature’s gifts of island
beauty, stunning sea waves and lush green vegetation. Samudrika Marine Museum
is also worthy place covering much marine life including various kinds of sea
fishes, corals and turtles. The Purpose of museum was to create of awareness
about the natural resources and aquatic life in the Andaman Islands. Museum has
five sections that have been created over the years which include geographical information,
archaeology, people information, history of Andaman Islands and marine life. Children’s
park also offer many facilities for kid’s enjoyment, a toy train and many other
amusement facilities make this park a much sought picnic spot.
Best Time to Visit:
Port
Blair climate is moderate and tropical and very pleasant year around except rainy
Season. November to April is the good time to visit the
Port Blair.
Getting There:
Andaman
and Nikobar is island so it’s is connected to the other parts of the country by
air and water ways.
By Air: Port
Blair’s Vir Savarkar Airport is located about 2 km south of the city and well-connected
with Chennai and Kolkata. Taxis and auto rickshaws wait outside the terminal at
flight times. Public buses are also available just outside the airport.
By Sea: Passenger
ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and
Visakhapatnam and back but it’s only for adventurous people and could be tested your patience.

By Bus:
Local buses are also available for inter-city and intra-city travel and Busses
is very cheap comparing to Taxi, but you’ll need to ask around to figure out the
